Urge the PM not to backtrack on climate action

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced he’s U-turning on policies to tackle the climate crisis.

We can’t stand for this. Millions of our sisters and brothers around the world are being hit by the climate crisis – and millions more will face even greater catastrophes unless we take urgent action to cut emissions.

Let's show the PM that we want him to play his part in the fight to care for our common home.

Will you sign the petition and urge Rishi Sunak not to backtrack on climate action?

Dear Prime Minister,

The climate emergency is becoming an ever-more catastrophic reality for people across the world. We know that failing to take urgent action means the crisis will become even worse, with those who have contributed least paying the heaviest price.

Tackling this crisis demands leadership. Yet your announcements backtracking on the government’s climate policies fail to show that leadership.

I urge you to:

  • Recommit to policies to cut the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions at the scale and urgency needed to keep global temperature rises below 1.5C
  • Recommit to your existing pledges to support people living in communities around the world who are most vulnerable to the impacts of the climate crisis.
